CONSTRUCTION: The hull and deck are constructed from GRP. Teak laid decks, extra teak guard rail with RVS strip on hull.
KEEL: Fin keel.
SPARS/RIG: Sloop rig, Alloy mast and boom. Deluxe Maindrop system with lazy jacks, all control lines at the mast, 2 winches. Selden 300S furling system (new 2005). Standing rigging of stainless steel plus Selden backstay adjuster all new 2005, running rigging of rope (partially new 2005). Spinnaker pole and spinnaker with topping lift, spinnaker halyard, second jib halyard.
SAILS: Mainsail (2x), Genoa, Jib, Storm jib, Spinnaker
ACCOMMODATION: Six berths in three cabins plus 2 berths (with lee cloths) in saloon (8 in total), 2 heads, 2 showers, large wraparound galley.
Forepeak: Chain locker. Forecabin: Double berth with ample storage lockers, fore toilet compartment (with marine WC, washbasin and shower with waste pump, hot and cold pressurised water). Port cabin with bunk beds and ample storage, starboard side toilet compartment with shower, saloon with comfortable settee berths, table which opens out to the full width of the saloon. Aft owners cabin with double berth and ample storage lockers. Galley with Calor 2-burner gas cooker, oven and grill, built-in microwave, double s/s sink with covers. Hot (new boiler 2004) and cold fresh water supply, refrigerated top opening ice box and separate front opening fridge/freezer. Mahogany storage cupboards throughout. Large chart table with drawers underneath. 6' plus headroom throughout, curtains and carpeting throughout.
MOTOR: Vetus M417 42hp (new 2003) inboard diesel fitted (6.5 knots cruising speed at 3.5 ltr/hr) with additional double Delphi fuel/water filter on shaft drive to 3-bladed fixed propeller.
ELECTRICS: 3 x batteries, charged by engine alternator. Shore power via battery charger. Shore connection point in cockpit locker, sockets throughout ship. Additional Halogen reading lights in saloon. Sony CD/radio plus 10 CD changer. New boiler (engine heated plus 220V new 2005).
TANKAGE: Fuel: 227 litres. Water: 454 litres (plus 40 litres in boiler).
EQUIPMENT:
Deck: Pulpit, pushpit, stanchions and guardwires, fairleads and mooring cleats with brass strips, 4 sheet winches. Ground tackle: 44lbs CQR anchor with 30m x 9mm chain and warp, Lofrans anchor windlass, additional bow roller. New Sprayhood 2006 and complete cockpit cover. All around cushions for the cockpit (new 2003).
Navigation: Steering compass, GPS, Raymarine ST6000 autopilot plus course computer and linear drive on quadrant (new 2004), Raymarine ST60 log, wind and depth instruments (new 2004), Navtex, Sailor VHF, barometer, hydrometer and clock.
Safety: Bilge pumps, manual and electric, jackstays, man overboard recovery system, fire extinguishers, navigation lights.
General: Frigomatic plus Waco fridge. Separate immersion hot water heating system, insulated water cylinder. Various mooring warps and fenders, varnished washboards. Full set of cockpit cushions, glass/cup holders on pedestal in cockpit, boarding ladder, gates port and starboard. Ocean Air screens on aft hatches, hot and cold shower in cockpit. 3kg gas bottle with reduction valve, anodes, teak outboard bracket on the pushpit, teak guard rail all around.
OWNERS COMMENTS: Malouine is a well maintained and equipped yacht. She is easily handled and very spacious, ideal for long distance cruising.
