Systems
Engine: Perkins 63544M 120 HP diesel engine driving through Borg Warner velvet drive. Range @ 5 knots /1300rpm approx 1200nm. Max speed 9 knots @ 2500rpm.
Stern gear: 2 inch stainless steel prop shaft, via P bracket to 20 inch bronze 3 blade propeller, hydraulic shaft brake.
Electrical: 220 V shore power supply with mains ring, 24/50 battery charger. MoorePower 24/2500w inverter, 500 watt inverter for phones computers, iPods, etc.
Generator: HFL 6KVA Genset 240v with remote control panel newly installed 2003.
Batteries: Two banks total 8 x 105 A/H (12v arranged to provide 24v system), new in 2005, separate generator battery 1x75ah (12v).
Plumbing: 3x fresh water tanks, hot & cold pressurised water system, hot water by engine heat exchanger or 220V immersion heater coil to calorifier (72 litre), 2 Blake-Lavec manual/electric marine toilets. Holding tank: 250lts. Bilge pumps: 1 manual unit in cockpit, 1 electric automatic, 1 electric emergency, 1 electric Henderson unit, 1 Jabsco engine mounted pump 400 litre/min (also acts as a deck wash and fire hose).

Sails and Rigging
Cutter rig ketch - Hood stowaway main and mizzen inmast furling system - Hood seafurl 5 roller reefing headsail system, spinnaker pole. Sails: All Hood: 1x mainsail, 1 x mizzen, 1x No 2 genoa, 1x yankee, 1x staysail, 1x storm jib, 1x cruising chute with snuffer, mizzen staysail. All new sacrificial strips 2005/2006, valetted annually.
All standing rigging replaced 2002 – masts resprayed – all under surveyor supervision. Various running rigging replaced as necessary.

Owners Comments
Astral Music underwent a 10 month, £30,000 re-fit in 2002 – see surveyors report attached. Since then Astral Music has spent every winter under a full boat cover to protect the new teak decks from rain erosion.
Astral Music has been chartered privately by the owners as captain and crew/hostess, this excellent example Grenadier has been maintained to very high standards, including regular modifications and upgrades every year.
Astral Music is also available for sale as an established and successful charter business and the extremely informative web-site, 4 years of accounts and database are available subject to further negotiation if of interest.
Astral Music can be delivered anywhere in the EEC and will be sold to a buyer in the EEC to protect its VAT paid status. |
